The song and videos of Hey There Cthulhu are based on H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos stories. The witty lyrics are by Eben Brooks and Allison Lonsdale; keep an aural tentacle open for the Lewis Carroll reference. Brooks states that the song is a parody of The Plain White Tees' "Hey There Delilah", but this Brooks-Lonsdale version delves deep into surreality, and very entertainingly too.

Surely both versions are favorites on the regular schedule at the local theater in Innsmouth; and are worthy subjects of study in the departments of Art (Deep) and Psychology (Unspeakable Cults) at Miskatonic University.

The live version is very good, but for repeated watching, the photomontage version is more fun and/or disturbing, depending on your mood and the Deep Ones' pressure on your fantasy bathometer.
